Catch The Vine!

On a cold, blustery and snowy Saturday in early January nearly 200 people attended C-TRAN’s grand opening of The Vine. The event was held at the new Vancouver Mall Transit Center on January 7 and included several guest speakers, free Vine rides, games and food, including a replica of The Vine bus made entirely out of cake! Much fun was had by all, even if it was a bit chilly.

We thank each and every one of you who were able to attend the festivities. For those who weren’t able to join us for the grand opening, if you haven’t already, we hope you get a chance to check out the new service soon…Catch the Vine!

HOP Fastpass™ Testing Starts Soon

A new electronic fare payment system is coming this summer called Hop Fastpass™. Hop is a partnership between C-TRAN, TriMet and the Portland Streetcar that will provide a more convenient and secure way to pay your transit fare through reloadable cards, phone apps, and eventually your personal bank card.

While the new payment system won’t be fully available to the general public until later this year, a beta test begins in February when certain members of the public can start using the system early. Participation in the test requires users to register their cards and report any issues they may experience while using the system.

Presidents' Day is February 20

On Monday, February 20, C-TRAN will observe the following schedule:

• All buses will operate on normal weekday schedules
• All Customer Service offices are open during regular weekday hours
• The Call Center is open during regular weekday hours
• C-TRAN Administration Office is closed

C-TRAN's Vanpool Program

Do you know someone who wants to save money by sharing their commute with their coworkers? Do they like the idea of public transit but the bus just doesn’t work with their location and schedule? Then our Vanpool program may be the answer!

Vanpool requires a minimum of five people who share a similar commute and work schedule. The travel must start or stop within Clark County and be at least 20 miles round trip. As part of their low monthly fare vanpoolers receive a van, fuel, maintenance and insurance. The group sets their own hours, travel route and chooses their drivers who must attend a brief 1.5-hour training session. We can even help you find other group members if you don’t quite have the five-person minimum to get started.
