Significant Impacts to Express Service in Downtown Portland

April 30–May 20

C-TRAN’s commuter service in downtown Portland is currently impacted due to major work on MAX tracks through Saturday, May 20. During the project, C-TRAN Express buses can’t provide service north of Columbia Street in downtown Portland. Routes 105, 134, 164, 177 and 199 will use their normal stop locations between Hall and Columbia streets, serving both Fifth and Sixth avenues during the morning and evening commute. Routes 164 and 177 will also serve an additional temporary stop at southbound Fifth Avenue and Clay Street (currently used by Routes 105, 134 and 199).

MAX trains will continue to operate north of Columbia Street, but passengers should expect crowded trains and reduced frequency during the work period. TriMet will also operate shuttle buses every five minutes or less between the Rose Quarter and Providence Park.

Crews are working to improve MAX tracks along Morrison and Yamhill streets in downtown Portland. More information about the project and TriMet service during the construction is available here: https://trimet.org/alerts/morrisonyamhill/

Ride The Vine

The Vine launched service on January 8, 2017. Ridership on the new system has steadily grown since then, and, combined with Route 60, The Vine now carries more trips than Routes 4 and 44 did at this time in 2016. The Vine provides more frequent service between the Vancouver Mall and downtown Vancouver, serving the Veterans Affairs Vancouver Medical Center, Clark College, the Marshall/Luepke Center and other destinations along the way.
