New Hop Fastpass

Hop FastPass 2Electronic Fare Payment System

In addition to the proposed fare change, C-TRAN is educating the public on a new electronic fare payment system called the Hop Fastpass. This new system will provide an easy to understand and use form of payment that offers easy transfers between C-TRAN, TriMet, and the Portland Streetcar. One fare for all! Hop will be available by 2017.

Information about the proposed fare increase, as well as Hop electronic fare payment system will be available at our open houses. If you can’t attend, the same information can be found on our Website at www.c-tran.com.

Partnership Formed to Highlight Works of Local Poets

During bad weather, any C-TRAN route is subject to service disruptions or delays based on road conditions. Passengers are encouraged to plan ahead, know their options, and keep updated so they have the very latest travel information. For details on how adverse weather may affect your route, please visit www.c-tran.com, or pick up a Snow & Ice brochure on board your bus.

Play It Safe

Your safety is important. Please plan ahead and remember these safety tips for staying warm and visible this winter:

  • Wear extra warm clothing;
  • Wear or carry something reflective so your driver can see you;
  • Stay on the curb. Buses may slide before coming to a complete stop;
  • SafeStop—when safety allows, passengers can request a stop anywhere along their route.

January Service Improvements

There are no route or schedule changes planned for this January; however, C-TRAN is re-positioning its current resources to improve the reliability of afternoon departures on Route 65, and the morning peak departures on Route 164. Again, the only noticeable change passengers can expect is their bus operating more closely to the printed schedule.
