10-Ride Punch Cards to Replace Ticket Books

New 10-ride punch cards have replaced 10-ride ticket books. The upcoming installation of new fareboxes is  the reason for this change:

Exchanges Honored, Sept. 1–Oct. 31, 2014

  • Fully intact ticket books, or 10 single ride tickets, can be exchanged for a 10-ride punch card at any C-TRAN Customer Service Office, from September 1 - October 31, 2014 only.
  • Partial books of tickets, or less than 10 single ride tickets, cannot be exchanged for a 10 ride punch card.
  • No cash refunds on any fare instrument, is provided.

Unvalidated C-TRAN Fares not Accepted on TriMet

Starts September 1, 2014

  • Effective September 1, 2014, C-TRAN and TriMet no longer accept each other’s unvalidated fares. Passengers must start their trip on the system that issued their unvalidated fare.
  • Express punch cards are provided with an Express transfer that allows for continued travel on TriMet, through the date and time indicated. 
  • All-Zone and Express day passes may be used on TriMet, once they’ve been validated by a C-TRAN operator.

CCAC Monthly Meeting

Join the C-TRAN Citizens Advisory Committee at their regular monthly meeting on Thursday, September 25 starting at 5:30 p.m. Meetings are held at C-TRAN’s Administration Building located at 2425 NE 65th Avenue in Vancouver. A portion of each meeting is set aside for public comment.


September Service Change

Effective Sunday, September 28, 2014

The following changes will take effect on Sunday, September 28:

Routes 4 and 37: These routes have their last evening trips adjusted 2-3 minutes to provide better connections for passengers;

Route 71: Route 71 has a 12:00 a.m., weekday trip added, from the 99th Street Transit Center.

Route 164:

  • Several AM departures will shift, 5-15 minutes, to help alleviate over-crowding on morning trips to downtown Portland;
  • The 4:00 p.m. departure, from downtown Portland, adjusts to 4:05 p.m.

Route 177: The current 4:50 p.m. departure, from the Evergreen Transit Center, adjusts to 4:43 p.m. to accommodate the current travel time into downtown Portland. This change allows the route to arrive as currently scheduled.

Weekend Concert Shuttles to Sleep Country Amphitheater

C-TRAN provides convenient weekend concert shuttle service to the Sleep Country Amphitheater throughout the summer months. Please note that shuttle service is available on Saturdays and Sundays only. No shuttles are available Monday-Friday. 

  • Service is provided on concert days, weekends only, from the Salmon Creek Park & Ride directly to the Amphitheater, and given priority access to the east entrance;
  • Shuttle service begins 90 minutes prior to the advertised concert start time, and runs at least every 15 minutes until the concert starts;Service is not available during concerts;
  • Return service to the Salmon Creek Park & Ride begins immediately after each show and is given priority access out of the Amphitheater’s parking lot;
  • Connecting bus service is not available from the Salmon Creek Park & Ride following each concert;
  • Drivers don’t carry change. Event shuttles are $2 per person.
