THE FIRST FORTY YEARS: C-TRAN’S 2021 ANNUAL REPORT

THE FIRST 40 YEARS:
C-TRAN’S 2021
ANNUAL REPORT

The C-TRAN Diversity Team finished the year strong, making strides in its goals of “learning how to relate to one another, how the team relates to the organization and how we relate to the community,” said Jim Quintana, Director of Organizational Development and Training. In 2021, the Diversity Team:

  • Adopted “PEACE” as its mission statement, an acronym for Promoting Equity, Acceptance, Compassion, Education
  • Organized a product donation drive for YWCA’s SafeChoice Program to honor Women’s History Month
  • Partnered with C-TRAN’s Green Team to host the agency’s Earth Day Plant Exchange
  • Sponsored a C-TRAN Walk for Mental Health
  • Participated in the agency’s Diversity Book Group, which met over the course of the year and discussed three books related to diversity, equity and inclusion
  • Initiated an agency-wide survey to gauge employees’ thoughts on diversity

During the year, C-TRAN designed and flew a series of flags commemorating celebratory and heritage months including Black History Month, Hispanic Heritage Month and Native American Heritage Month. We also celebrated the creation of two new bus wraps: A design honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. that debuted in January and a colorful “Ride Proudly” bus honoring the LGBTQ+ community.
