Vancouver, WA: The C-TRAN Board of Directors welcomed Ridgefield City Councilor Ron Onslow as its newest member as of September.
Onslow transitioned to the role of Ridgefield City Council member this year after serving 10 years as the city’s mayor. He officially joins the C-TRAN board having previously served many years as an alternate. He now represents the three smallest jurisdictions in the C-TRAN service area: the City of Ridgefield, the City of La Center and the Town of Yacolt. Onslow also volunteers with numerous community organizations in Clark County.
Onslow replaces Ridgefield City Councilor John Main, who is moving out of the area and stepped away from the C-TRAN board. Main had served as vice chair of the C-TRAN board; the board selected Battle Ground City Councilor Adrian Cortes to fill that role for the remainder of 2018. Clark County Council Chair Marc Boldt remains C-TRAN board chair.
The C-TRAN Board of Directors is comprised of nine voting members representing each jurisdiction served by C-TRAN: the cities of Vancouver, Camas, Washougal, Battle Ground, Ridgefield and La Center, the town of Yacolt and unincorporated Clark County. The board also includes a non-voting labor representative.
C-TRAN is the regional public transportation provider for portions of Clark County. It offers Local bus service within its Clark County service area, Regional bus service to the nearest MAX light rail station, and Express commuter service to downtown Portland. It also provides Connector service within the city limits of Camas, La Center, and Ridgefield.
