Vancouver, WA: Following the 2018 Clark County Fair, C-TRAN reported having an impressive 14.6% increase in shuttle ridership compared to the previous year.

C-TRAN has provided shuttles to the fair for many years, and began offering the service for free in 2015. The shuttles provide passengers with free round-trip rides to the fair, departing from six different locations throughout Clark County: Vancouver Mall, Fisher’s Landing Transit Center, 99th Street Transit Center, Battle Ground, Ridgefield Park and Ride, and La Center Park and Ride. In 2018, C-TRAN shuttles tallied an estimated total ridership of nearly 18,000 during the 10-day event.

All shuttles drop passengers off directly in front of the fair’s east entrance for easy access. The shuttle also makes extra trips for the opening morning of the annual pancake breakfast. Additionally, shuttle riders receive a discount for fair admission at the gate.

“C-TRAN values its longstanding partnership with the Clark County Fair,” said C-TRAN CEO Shawn M. Donaghy. “We are extremely proud to serve our community and offer transportation services to and from the fairgrounds.”

C-TRAN plans to continue offering its shuttle service to the fair in the future, and hopes to build off this year’s success in 2019.
