Vancouver, WA: The C-TRAN Board of Directors this year welcomes three new members: Adrian Cortes of Battle Ground, Molly Coston of Washougal and Shannon Turk of Camas.

Battle Ground City Councilor Adrian Cortes was elected to his second term on the city council in 2017. He previously served on the Battle Ground Planning Commission. Cortes currently works for the Camas School District at Camas High School as an educator within the special education field. Other organizations that Cortes is involved with include the Clark County Disabilities Advisory Board.

Washougal Mayor Molly Coston was elected in November, and officially began her term this month. She also served a previous stint on the Washougal City Council, and remains involved in the Camas-Washougal Rotary Club and other organizations. Coston has lived in Washougal since 2000. She is a graduate of the University of Arizona and George Washington University.

Camas City Councilor Shannon Turk has served on the city council since 2011. Her experience in local and state governments goes back more than 20 years. Turk serves on a host of other committees and is active in numerous local organizations. She is a graduate of Portland State University.

The board on Tuesday also selected Marc Boldt and John Main to continue serving as chair and vice chair, respectively, in 2018. Boldt represents Clark County as Clark County Council Chair; Main represents the city of Ridgefield as a Ridgefield City Councilor.

The C-TRAN Board of Directors is comprised of nine voting members representing each jurisdiction served by C-TRAN: the cities of Vancouver, Camas, Washougal, Battle Ground, Ridgefield and La Center, the town of Yacolt and unincorporated Clark County. The board also includes a non-voting labor representative.

C-TRAN is the regional public transportation provider for portions of Clark County. It offers local bus service within its Clark County service area, Limited bus service to the nearest MAX light rail station, and Express commuter service to downtown Portland. It also provides Connector service within the city limits of Camas, La Center, and Ridgefield.
