Connector
An innovative approach to provide service in areas where traditional bus service is difficult to offer. The Connector was first introduced in 2003 as only a reservation based transportation service. Today, passengers can choose to make a reservation for their desired pick-up time at a location of their choice, or board at a regular bus stop at a time designated by C-TRAN. Operating within certain geographic service areas, the Connector makes connections to nearby transit centers from the cities of Camas, La Center, and Ridgefield. For more information, click here. For reservations, please call (360) 695-8918.
AMTRAK Taxi Vouchers
C-TRAN provides taxi vouchers to anyone who needs a connection from the 7th Street Passenger Service Office to the Amtrak train station in downtown Vancouver. This service is available during all hours of C-TRAN's daily operation. You can request a taxi voucher from any C-TRAN Passenger Service Office or the Vancouver Amtrak station. The vouchers only cover the cost of a taxi ride between the 7th Street Passenger Service Office and the Amtrak Station. Once you obtain the voucher, you will need to make arrangements to be picked up by one of the preselected local taxi operators listed on the voucher form. Taxis will pick-up in front of the 7th Street Passenger Service Office at 108 E. 7th Street.
Carpool/Vanpool
If commuting by bus doesn't work for you, consider joining a carpool or vanpool (7 to 15 individuals). Sharing the ride will save you money, and helps our environment, too. To register, call 69-MATCH or log on to CarpoolMatchNW.org. CarpoolMatchNW.org is a secure, online matching service that provides a simple way for folks in Clark County, Portland and Salem to find others who are interested in sharing a ride during their commute.
Southbound Solutions
Southbound Solutions offers assistance to Southwest Washington residents commuting to the Portland Metro area including incentives to encourage the use of commute options such as transit, carpool, vanpool, or bicycling.
Commute Trip Reduction (CTR) Program
The state's nine most populated counties, and the cities within those counties, are required to adopt CTR ordinances and support local employers in implementing CTR. Employers are required to develop a commuter program designed to achieve reductions in vehicle trips and may offer benefits such as subsidies for transit fares, flexible work schedules, telework opportunities, and more. Employers within Clark County’s Urban Growth Boundary must participate in CTR if they have 100 or more full-time employees at a single worksite who begin their scheduled workday between 6 and 9 a.m. Employers who are not affected by the CTR law are also encouraged to participate as voluntary CTR employers. For more information go to www.ClarkCommute.org or call the CTR Administrator at (360) 487-7733.
