Workshops and Walking Tour of Light Rail Alignment

Help design light rail transit in Vancouver. Give us your input on:

A walking tour and hands-on workshops are being held for community members who live, work or own property near the alignments, as well as anyone with an interest in downtown Vancouver transit issues. You’re invited to come to any of these events to provide your perspectives, preferences and concerns on major transit choices.

Public Hearing And Board of Directors Meeting

Tuesday, January 13, 2009

At their December 9, 2008 monthly meeting, the C-TRAN Board of Directors asked staff to plan for an additional public hearing in January. After reviewing the proposal and listening to public comment on November 18, and then discussing the proposal further at their December 9 meeting, the Board asked staff to modify the R/Y/D All-Zone and C-VAN monthly pass prices as reflected below. These changes and all other elements of the fare change proposal will be presented at the January 13, 2009 Board of Directors meeting, and the Board will again hear public comments on the modified fare change proposal.

All written comments must be received no later than 12:00 PM, Tuesday, January 13 so they can be submitted to the C‑TRAN Board of Directors for their review prior to any vote.

 

Service Change On January 11, 2009

Beginning Sunday, January 11, C‑TRAN’s service change effects the following routes:

4 Fourth Plain The Sunday schedule will mirror the current Saturday schedule, adding more service on Sundays.

30 Burton Weekday schedule frequency changes  to every 30 minutes.

44 Fourth Plain Limited The following trips are eliminated:

134 Salmon Creek Express Frequency of departures from downtown Portland change to every 15 minutes, between 5:03 and 6:18 PM

164 Fisher’s Landing Express:

177 Evergreen Express 7:09 AM northbound trip from 2nd and Alder to Evergreen Park & Ride eliminated due to low ridership.

199 99th Street Express Frequency changes to every 15 minutes after 5:00 PM from downtown Portland due to low ridership.

Connector Midday arrivals at the 99th Street Transit Center change from 2:00 to 2:10 PM
