Welcome to C-TRAN's Fourth Plain Transit Improvement Project
This is the communications site for C-TRAN's Fourth Plain Transit Improvement Project. This project is in its early planning and development stages, and we want to provide every opportunity for the community to get involved and share their thoughts. Opportunities to get involved as well as committee activities can be found on the Calendar of Events.

OUR MISSION: Transit corridors serve different roles based on their defining characteristics and community values. The Fourth Plain Transit Improvement Project is not as much about traffic congestion relief as it is about improved and reliable bus speeds, economic development opportunities along the corridor, and connections to/from neighborhoods to job centers. Some of the existing problems that will be addressed by the 4th Plain project include: slow bus speeds, poorly managed passenger vehicle access, inadequate bike and pedestrian facilities along the corridor, including connections to businesses along the corridor and surrounding neighborhoods, and economic revitalization.
The proposed project is to build a state-of-the-art transit link between downtown Vancouver, the Fourth Plain business and neighborhood corridor and Fourth Plain community, and Westfield Vancouver Mall; with possible connections eastward to Sifton and Heritage, and potentially to the Interstate MAX Yellow line station at Delta Park/Vanport.
