Salmon Creek Park & Ride Opens at New Location

On Sunday, September 25 the Salmon Creek Park & Ride officially opened at its new location on NE 10th Avenue and 136th Street; behind the Salmon Creek Fred Meyer shopping center. Riders using the opark and ride lot enter from the south side of the facility off of 136th Street.

The new location provides parking and bike lockers for passengers who ride the 105 I-5 Express and 134 Salmon Creek Express. Passengers will have access to Route 9 Felida at stops located along NE 139th Street, just north of the Fred Meyer store. Route 19 Salmon Creek will provide service between WSU Vancouver and the 99th Street Transit Center via Highway 99, and will not serve the new Salmon Creek Park & Ride location.

The new park and ride features parking spaces for nearly 500 vehicles, passenger shelters for cover during the rainy season, and lighting for added safety. Bike racks and secured bike lockers will also be available. Security cameras will be installed throughout the parking lot and on the bus platform, and security personnel will have a routine presence on the property.

The new Salmon Creek Park & Ride was built though a partnership between Clark County and the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), and is necessitated by the Salmon Creek Interchange Project. For more information, please go to www.wsdot.wa.gov/projects/I5/NE134thI205/

C-TRAN will operate the new facility under an agreement with WSDOT.
