On January 8, 2017, the following service alterations will be implemented:
- Route 4: Route will be replaced by The Vine, C-TRAN's new bus rapid transit service.
- Route 73 (Route 73 schedule): New route created to provide service to the north side of Vancovuer Mall.
- The Vine (The Vine schedule): C-TRAN's new bus rapid transit service between downtown Vancouver and Vancouver Mall. The Vine will utilize faster boarding, more frequent service, covered stations and larger 60' articulated buses. Find out more here.
- New Vancouver Mall Transit Center: C-TRAN's Vancouver Mall Transit Center is moving from the north side of the mall to the south side of the mall; however, due to additional work required at the new transit center, Bay A will not be in use for the first part of 2017. Temporary route assignments at the facility will be as follows:
- Bay B: The Vine will use this bay for boarding and deboarding.
- Bay C: This bay will be used ONLY for deboarding of passengers from The Vine if Bay B is already in use. Once Bay B has been cleared of the first Vine bus, the second Vine bus will loop around to board new passengers at Bay B.
- Bay F: This bay will be used by Route 7.
- Bay H: This bay will be shared by routes 73, 74, and 78.
Temporary signs are placed on the platform at the new Van Mall Transit Center to assist passengers in locating these temporary stops. All other bays will be used by routes as indicated on the permanent station signage.
