Snow & Ice Detour Information

Oh, the weather outside is frightful...

Yes, it's that time of year again. To be prepared, know that the following routes have segments that may be affected by detours during adverse weather. Follow the link to see how each route is affected.

During particularly difficult driving conditions, all Portland Express routes will connect to the nearest TriMet MAX station, where passengers can then connect to any TriMet service that will take them to downtown Portland, Lloyd District, or Marquam Hill/OHSU. TriMet and C-TRAN staff will be available at key locations to assist passengers with their questions and direct them to the appropriate service.

Please keep in mind that during inclement weather, C-TRAN buses do not run on schedule. It’s important to plan ahead before venturing outdoors. Dress warmly with reflective clothing so your driver can more easily see you, and stay on the curb as your bus may slide to a complete stop.

For continued updates on C-TRAN services during a weather event, please visit www.flashalert.net. All updates are available, as they happen, including road conditions, regional weather emergencies, and school closures. This information will also be posted on our Web site directly.

As a further safety feature, C-TRAN passenger who are traveling alone after 8 p.m. can now request a stop anywhere along their route, when safety allows. This service will be extended to also cover the duration of any weather emergency.
