Vancouver, WA: : C-TRAN, Clark County’s public transportation provider,
today announced Jeff Hamm, currently the General Manager at the Salem-Keizer
Transit District in Oregon, will become C-TRAN’s new Executive Director/CEO
effective January 1, 2007.
“Jeff is quite a find for us. The C-TRAN Board had a very rigorous 2 1/2 day interview process with our finalists and Jeff rose to the top in a hurry. We're quite pleased to have him join us,” said C-TRAN Board Chair Betty Sue Morris.
“I am honored to have been selected for the C-TRAN Executive Director/CEO position by the Board of Directors,” said Jeff Hamm. “I know C-TRAN to be a first rate organization and that public transportation has a critical role to play in helping Clark County and the Vancouver area meet the challenges posed by rapid growth. I'm looking forward to diving in and helping C-TRAN be all that it can be."
Jeff Hamm has been with the Salem-Keizer Transit District since 1999 and reports to a seven member, directly elected Board of Directors. Prior to his current position in Salem, Jeff served as General Manager at Jefferson Transit in Port Townsend for nine years and as a Supervisor at Metro Transit in Seattle, Washington. Jeff has an undergraduate degree in political science from Beloit College and a master’s degree in urban planning from the University of Washington.
As C-TRAN’s new Executive Director/CEO, Jeff Hamm will direct Clark County’s public transportation system, which provides 26 local and premium commuter routes and 5 Connector service areas for the cities of Camas, Battle Ground, La Center, Ridgefield and the Town of Yacolt.
