C-TRAN’s Citizen Advisory Committee will hold its
Final Meeting of the Year this Thursday Evening

Vancouver, WA: C-TRAN’s Citizens Advisory Committee (CCAC) will hold their regular monthly meeting on Thursday, November 29 from 5:30–7:30 p.m. It will be the committee’s final meeting of the year and is open to the public. It will be held at C-TRAN’s administrative office located at 2425 NE 65th Avenue in Vancouver.  

The CCAC continues to seek representation from any interested and qualified individual(s) for the following openings: environmental community, business community, education, bi-state commuter, non-ambulatory C-VAN (paratransit) rider, Connector rider, hearing impaired, and non-rider. Committee members may represent one or more position, as long as they have demonstrated either familiarity with, use of, or expertise in the area(s) which they have applied. Requests for applications can be made by calling (360) 696-4494.

The role of the C-TRAN Citizen Advisory Committee is to advise the C‑TRAN Board and C-TRAN staff members on transit and paratransit policies, programs, plans, and other related issues. The CCAC is comprised of no more than 17 positions, representing one or more of the following areas: regular fixed-route bus rider, environmental community, school system, youth/student, senior citizen, bi-state commuter, neighborhood association, C-VAN (paratransit) rider, non-ambulatory C-VAN (paratransit) rider, non-rider, visually impaired, hearing impaired, developmentally disabled, Connector rider, social services, Clark County businesses, and the community-at-large.

The CCAC meets the last Thursday of every month, from 5:30–7:30 p.m., at C-TRAN’s Administrative Office. The public is invited to attend. A portion of each meeting is set-aside for public comment.

C-TRAN is the regional public transportation provider for portions of Clark County. It offers local bus service within its Clark County service area, Limited bus service to the nearest MAX light rail station, and Express commuter service to downtown Portland.
