C-TRAN Hosts Monthly Citizens Advisory Committee Meeting

Vancouver, WA: Thursday, February 22, C-TRAN will host its monthly Citizens Advisory Committee (CCAC) meeting. The meeting begins at 5:30 PM and will be held at C-TRAN’s Administration Office located at 2425 NE 65th Avenue in Vancouver. The public is invited to attend.

This month’s topics include a presentation on the Columbia River Crossing project, as well as a review of applications that have been submitted for open committee positions.

Currently, the committee is seeking representation from any interested and qualified individual for the following openings: environmental community, education, bi-state commuter, neighborhood association, non-ambulatory C-VAN (paratransit) rider, developmentally disabled, youth/student, Connector rider, hearing impaired, and non-rider. Committee members may represent one or more position, as long as they have demonstrated either familiarity with, use of, or expertise in the area(s) which they have applied. The role of the C-TRAN Citizens Advisory Committee is to advise the C-TRAN Board and C-TRAN staff members on transit and paratransit policies, programs, plans, and other related issues. The CCAC is comprised of no more than 15 positions, representing one or more of the following areas: environmental community, education, bi-state commuter, neighborhood association, C-VAN (paratransit) rider, non-ambulatory C-VAN (paratransit) rider, non-rider, visually impaired, hearing impaired, developmentally disabled, senior citizen, student, local route bus rider, Connector rider, social services, Clark County business, and community-at-large.

The CCAC meets the last Thursday of every month, from 5:30–7:30 PM at C-TRAN’s Administration Building. The public is invited to attend. A portion of each meeting is set-aside for public comment.
