C-TRAN & Local Merchants Provide Youth a Pass to Summer Fun

For immediate release: May 25, 2007

Vancouver, WA: Summer is almost here, and that means it’s time again for C-TRAN’s Summer Blast Pass; a special fare for youth between the ages of 13-18. For only $36, the pass is a great way for kids to experience independence, freedom and fun for the entire summer by offering unlimited rides on all C-TRAN routes (except Portland Premium Express routes to downtown Portland), TriMet buses and MAX, and the Portland Streetcar. It also offers great discounts at participating local merchants.

This year’s merchant partners are offering the following discounts when presented with the Summer Blast Pass: buy one, get one free lunch special from Smokey’s Hot Oven Pizza, a 10 percent discount on clothing and parts from Bad Boyz Bikes, one free swim pass from the Firstenburg Community Center, a free medium drink and fry with sandwich purchase from Bruchi’s Cheese Steaks and Subs, five dollars off any purchase of $20 or more from Play It Again Sports (offer not valid on sale items), and a chance to win free entrance into the 2007 Clark County Fair for passes purchased before June 21. The winner and nine lucky friends will also receive ride wristbands and lunch for all.

But wait–there’s more! FREE key chains with an electronic clock are included with the first five hundred passes sold at any of C-TRAN’s Passenger Service offices. The key chains are a great way to keep track of the time when you’re having so much fun this summer!

The Summer Blast Pass went on-sale May 21 and is valid June 1 through August 31. For those that may be going out of town this summer, the pass will be sold for only $24 beginning June 20 and just $12 beginning July 20.

C-TRAN provides 26 local and commuter routes, plus five Connector service areas in the cities of Camas, Battle Ground, La Center, Ridgefield, and the Town of Yacolt. For more information on C-TRAN call the Passenger Service Office at (360) 695-0123.
