Vancouver, WA: On Friday, February 2, C-TRAN
will host the SW Washington Emerging Biofuels Summit,
sponsored by Columbia Credit Union and the NW Biofuels
Association. The summit will provide the public with
the latest information on how the industry is helping
shape the future of the local region and ways in
which the general public can apply this technology
to their everyday lives. The event is open to the
public.
The formal program will include C-TRAN Board Chair and Vancouver City Councilmember Tim Leavitt; Tomas Endicott, managing partner with SeQuential biofuels; and keynote speaker Josh Tickell, Author of “Biodiesel America”
Mr. Tickell is one of the nation’s foremost experts on the use of Biodiesel and has written several influential books including “From the Fryer to the Fuel Tank” and “Biodiesel 101”. He also has several educational videos including “Biodiesel How To #1” and “Veggie Van Voyage”. Mr. Tickell is currently visiting the Pacific Northwest on a promotional tour of his new book “Biodiesel America” and his forthcoming feature documentary film “Fields of Fuel”. Josh will take audience questions immediately following his presentation, and will be available for book signing at the close of the summit.

The summit will be held in the Rose Besserman Community Room at the Fisher’s Landing Transit Center located at 3510 164th Avenue in Vancouver. Doors will open at 8:45 AM, with a welcome and special announcement by C-TRAN Board Chair, Tim Leavitt, at 9:00 AM. The summit is expected to close at approximately 11:00 AM.
