C-TRAN to Provide Public Transportation Service to Amphitheater

For immediate release: June 20, 2007

Vancouver, WA: C-TRAN and the Clark County Amphitheater have teamed-up to provide public transportation service for the 2007 summer concert season. The service begins operating on Saturday, June 30 as part of a demonstration project.

Service will be provided on concert days only from the Salmon Creek Park & Ride directly to the Amphitheater and will be given priority access to the east entrance. Service will begin two hours prior to the advertised concert start time, and will run at least every 15 minutes until the concert begins. Service will not be available during the concert. Return service to the Salmon Creek Park & Ride will begin immediately following the show and will be given priority out of the Amphitheater’s parking lot. Connecting bus service will not be available from the Salmon Creek Park & Ride following the concert.

“We anticipate that this will be a very popular service. We are excited to be able to provide public transportation this year and hope that the ridership will demonstrate support for bus service to concerts at the Amphitheater” stated Jeff Hamm, C-TRAN Executive Director/CEO.

The round-trip fare is $1.00 per person or $3.00 for groups up to six riders. Children six and under ride for free. All C-TRAN tickets and passes are accepted.
